H.E Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud Al Thani | His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla Bin Saoud Al-Thani was appointed Governor of Qatar Central Bank in May 2006, having started his career in the Bank in 1981. He was Deputy Governor from 1990 to 2001 and subsequently left to serve as Chairman of the State Audit Bureau from 2001 to 2006, before assuming his current position.
His Excellency was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the QFC Regulatory Authority in March 2012 and subsequently as Chairman of Qatar Financial Markets Authority later in 2012. His Excellency is also Chairman of Qatar’s Financial Stability & Risk Control Committee.
He was appointed as the Chairman of the Islamic Financial Services Board (2013) as well as Chairman of the International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation until December 2013 and is currently a member of both institutions.
He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Development Bank and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs & Investment .
He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Monetary Council for 2014. He is Board member at Qatar Investment Authority and the Chairman of the Governors of GCC Monetary Agencies and Central Banks Committee.

and Sports in January 2016. He was originally appointed Minister of Youth
and Sports in June 2013.
Education
HE the Minister of Culture and Sports has a BSc in Administrative
Engineering from the University of the Pacific in the USA.
Career
HE the Minister of Culture and Sports as Vice Chairman of State Audit
Bureau from 1998 to 2006.
In 2006, he became Chairman of State Audit Bureau.
In 2007 HE was appointed to the Qatar National Committee for Integrity
and Transparency (QNCIT) in his capacity as Chairman of the State Audit
Bureau-Qatar (ABQ)
In 2008, in addition to his duties as Chairman of the State Audit Bureau,
HE was appointed the Head of the State National Day Celebrations
Organizing Committee.
In 2011 HE the Minister of Culture and Sports was appointed an Adviser
in the office of the Heir Apparent, and the General Manager of the Sheikh
Jassim Bin Mohammed bin Thani social welfare Foundation, which is a
private Foundation for public benefit.
Since 2013, HE Salah bin Ghanem Al- Ali, is Chairman of Barwa Real
Estate Company and Vice-president of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment
Company
Responsibilities
HE the Minister of Culture and Sports has overall responsibility of all
Minister of Culture and Sports issues, including:-
• Regulating licenses for the construction of youth and sports.
• Increasing awareness of youth and sports activities.
• Liaising with relevant parties to support culture and sports in accordance
with the 2030 Vision.

Chief of the Amiri Diwan
HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani was appointed as the Chief of the Amiri Diwan on November 11, 2014 by the Amiri Order No. 5 of 2014. He served as Director of His Highness The Amir’s office since HH The Amir’s succession .
He was born in Doha in 1968, where he received his pre-university schooling. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in the United States of America in 1993.
In the year 2000 he worked at Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited, until 2002. He then worked in the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In March 2006, he joined the Amiri Diwan, and worked at the Office of HH the Heir Apparent. He was appointed as Director of the Office of the Private Secretary to HH the Heir Apparent on July 11, 2006, until he was appointed Director of the Office of HH the Heir Apparent on January 9, 2007.
HE Sheikh Khalid is also a member of the board of the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Da’am).

H.E Mr. Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater | H.E. Sultan Bin Rashid Al-Khater
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce
H.E. Sultan Bin Rashid Al-Khater was assigned as Undersecretary in the Ministry of Economy and Commerce by the Emiri decree No. 50 of 2011.
H.E. Sultan Bin Rashid Al-Khater had previously held many leadership positions in the sectors of Energy and Industry, the last one of them was the General Manager and Board Member in Qatar Fuel Additives Company, Ltd. Al-Khater had also held many other positions before, including the Maintenance Director for Liquefied Natural Gas facilities, and Director of Strategic Planning in RasGas Company, and has considerable sixteen years of experience in the Gas Industry.
H.E. Al-Khater holds an Executive MBA from HEC-Paris in Qatar in 2012 and a BS in Mechanical Engineering with honors from the University of Qatar in 1996.
